Book review please.

Hi Bookworm,

I’m not sure if you are up at BookSirens as offering to do reviews? If so leave a contact point for authors please.

I wonder if you could review Detective Muska: A Different Kind of Law for me, a crime thriller. I normally write in the special force or sci-fi genres, but I wrote this crime thriller in the middle of last year. It’s set in New Zealand, which adds an interesting flavour, and it’s been picked up by the Ngiao Marsh 2021 Book Awards. I’m promoting it more heavily now as a result, and reviews are an essential part of that (it has nine reviews at 4.3 stars at the moment).

The book is up at Amazon Kindle and can be seen there, if you want to read the product description and look at the first few chapters (sorry, links don’t seem to be working, try here?) It’s not up at BookSirens as they say the site has too many crime thrillers at the moment. I am happy to attach a mobi file (Kindle), or PDF or Epub for you by return email.

Getting the book into the Ngaio Awards is exciting, and I hope to at least make the shortlist!

Thanks for your help,

Eric Thorpe (pen name of Warwick Gibson).

it was accidental i have came across your blog following a facebook post. i was fascinated and happy to see the love you have for books which i also share so deeply. talking about the quality of your reviews, i find it very detailed in the best possible simple manner. most of the reviews carries many quotes and situations included which are nice as well. i prefer you can be more into criticism and please do include a bit of complete explanation of the plot as an introduction as recommendations from my side. read most of your reviews and fortunately i haven’t read most of the books you have reviewed here which was helpful for me to know a bit about this books. i mostly prefer cult classics and deep into the yesterdays books and only connection i have with the contemporary books are the recent award winning ones. i wish if you have reviewed and share your insights about the all time bests and classics of the past as well. and i also wish that you can give me the best books recommendations according to you of present as you are much of a contemporary reader and i am not. concluding, i see a passionate reader in your words who has got a great potential in writing. All the best Deborah.
